Job Summary
Mountco Management Corp. is seeking an experienced Asset/Facilities Manager for it's affordable housing portfolio, for Property Operations Oversight to ensure the proper maintenance, compliance, and long‑term sustainability of our residential portfolio. This role serves as the primary liaison between Mountco Management Corp. and contracted Property Managers, with direct responsibility for overseeing facilities operations, regulatory compliance, capital improvements, and asset condition across multiple sites.
The ideal candidate brings strong, hands‑on experience in facilities or property operations, understands multifamily building systems, and is capable of managing multiple properties across the Westchester and Lower Hudson Valley area.
Key Responsibilities
Asset Oversight & Property Manager Liaison
- Serve as the primary point of contact between Mountco Management Corp. and contracted Property Managers.
- Monitor and hold Property Managers accountable for daily operations, maintenance execution, and regulatory compliance.
- Act on behalf of ownership to ensure properties are maintained in accordance with Mountco standards, budgets, and timelines.
- Identify operational risks, deferred maintenance, and performance gaps and escalate as necessary.
Facilities & Maintenance Operations
- Direct and oversee facilities and maintenance operations at assigned properties, including building systems, preventative maintenance programs, capital repairs, and emergency response.
- Track and monitor major equipment repairs and replacements, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems.
- Conduct regular property inspections and ensure deficiencies are documented, addressed, and closed in a timely manner.
Compliance & Inspections
- Ensure compliance with applicable housing regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Oversee and track all property‑level violations
- Support and monitor agency inspections, including HQS, REAC, MOR, API, and other regulatory reviews.
Capital Improvements & Projects
- Support renovations and capital improvement initiatives from planning through completion.
- Monitor project progress and confirm completion aligns with approved plans and budgets.
- Identify opportunities for cost‑effective operational improvements without compromising safety or quality.
Reporting & Corporate Office Support
- Work out of Mountco’s corporate office and respond to operational issues on behalf of ownership.
- Provide regular updates to senior leadership regarding property condition, compliance status, and operational risks.
- Maintain documentation and reporting to ensure audit and inspection readiness.
Qualifications
Experience
- Significant hands‑on experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or property operations, preferably within residential or multifamily housing.
- Proven ability to manage multiple properties across a geographically dispersed portfolio.
Technical Knowledge
- Strong working knowledge of:
- HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life‑safety systems

Compensation: $150,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
